Canadian Tax Academy - Staff Training

Personal Tax Bootcamp - The listed price is for 5 staff members plus yourself. This is an intensive 7.5 hour course covering the fundamentals of personal tax preparation and tax topics in a public practice and client context. The course reviews fundamental personal tax concepts and reviews current CRA administrative guidelines and policies within the context of mock client returns. The core tax training and framework applies to any tax year. The course will be updated with the 2024 T1 update and available for review by the end of January 2025.

Corporate Tax Bootcamp - This is also an intensive course on preparing T2 tax returns within a public practice context. This 5.5+ hours of training will take your staff through the process of reviewing financial statements, client correspondence and the preparation of T2 returns, schedule by schedule. This course also reviews common areas of review by the Canada Revenue Agency and how to deal with these issues during the tax preparation process.

Additional user licenses can be purchased for $69 per user.

NOTE - Firm registration is necessary as user licenses are only available to accounting firms, tax preparation services & bookkeeping firms. Once we confirm that a firm or practitioner is requesting the training, the user registration link will be sent within 1 business day. These packages and licenses are not available to individuals. We have the right to refuse license registration to anyone we consider to not meet the firm eligibility criteria.

How long do staff have access to the course?
This package provides access for one full year from the date of purchase. At that time, the courses will expire and cannot be accessed. New licenses will be available at that point.
When do the courses start and finish?
The courses start now and can be accessed any time, 24/7 for a full year from the purchase date. They are completely self-paced online courses - your staff decide when they start and when they finish. They can also access the course content any time for refreshers or as a tax resource throughout the one year period.
What do the 5 Licenses cover?
When you purchase the training program for your firm, you and up to 5 separate staff members will be able to register for, and access the course at the same time. When your purchase is finalized, we will email you with the access link they can use to register and start their training.
What if I need more licenses?
The basic plan is a 5 user license. If you require more licenses they can be purchased for an additional $69 each.. Just email us at [email protected] or call us toll-free at 1-877-850-3963 to arrange the extra licenses.
What is the difference between this package and purchasing the courses on their own?
The pricing on the individual courses covers only 1 user per purchase. Purchasing this bundle provides you with access of up to 5 users at a substantially discounted price. This bundle provides access to the material for a full year from date of purchase at which time it expires. A new license for the new tax year will need to be purchased for the next tax season.
What if I am unhappy with the program?
We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 3 business days and we will give you a full refund.
Are there certificates available to staff members who complete the training?
Yes. Each staff member will have their own registration and user account on our system. As they complete the courses, they can request certificates. Once we verify they have watched all the video tutorials, we will provide them with their own individual certificates.
How does my staff get started and access the courses?
We will send you a URL link with the registration link that you will provide your staff members to sign into the course and get started. They will be able to use their own email address and password to register. You will then have an additional 5 registration slots open for your staff (your own registration is included in the price so you will have a total of 6 slots).
